We had a great holiday. All the Fullmers came to our house and we had a nice dinner which everyone contributed to. Yum!

Friday we went shopping in Park City and that was fun too. Monday sucked for all as we headed out the door to work and school.

Can't wait till Christmas!!!

Happy Halloween!

Ian has finally been convinced to wear a costume, choosing his 1st grade Santa costume which still fits! Gracie is 1/2 devil 1/2 angel - a very apt costume for her.

Jacks's got his last, championship game tomorrow, we are all excited and hoping that they win and end the season on a great note.

Happy 65th Dad!!

It was great to see Grandma and Grandpa T. Unfortunately Jackson lost his game that Saturday and the weather was lousy. But, it was a fun, short visit. We are really looking forward to seeing the new house and yard in December. It will be here before we know it.

Grandma and Grandpa F and our favorite reporter just came home from Ireland. Excited to hear all about it.

The weather is turning, am glad to be out of the heat, but not exactly ready for the cold and snow yet. Oh well, the seasons roll on whether we are ready or not :-)

Take a look at the photos of Ian and Jackson. More coming soon...

Well, it's been a bit, things got pretty busy in August.

School started, soccer started, football started and it's been very crazy. We also are in the process of putting in new flooring and getting new appliances and remodeling our bathroom.

Looking forward to Christmas and a bit cooler weather!

I can't believe there's only 4 weeks left till school starts. Yikes! Tomorrow is Jackson's birthday, so he is getting excited. We finally broke down and got him a cell phone as his present. We are all having fun, tonight they are having a Harry Potter party at the library and the kids are going to dress up to attend. It should be fun. We have not read the latest HP books, we stopped at 3, but I would like to finish them now and read the last.

I've been working on creating some silver necklaces with a collage inside and then filled with resin. I'm getting better at them and hope to list some soon for sale on etsy.com.

6/27/07 - We got back from Oregon last Friday. It was a really fun trip, we had a great time in Washington staying with Grandma and Grandpa and visiting with Terra and family. Sara's graduation was really fun, it's exciting to hear her plans to go off to college.

We had a fun time in Oregon except for the minor hiccup that our car broke down. So, we stayed longer than we planned and rented a car. We had a fun time renting dune buggies in Florence and cruising around the beach. We also saw lots of seals, and beautiful beaches, and visited a couple gorgeous lighthouses. It was cold! Looks like it was a good thing we didn't go to Lake Tahoe as they had a raging forest fire going on.

Life is getting back to normal and we are still enjoying the summer. Starting to plan for Ian and Grace's b-day's on the 8th.

Well, it's been a long time since I posted! We have been busy finishing up the school year, talking about what remodeling plans we have for the summer, and trying to get some yard work done before the heat hits.

We went to visit this cool place this weekend - the 337 House in SLC. It's a old building that was scheduled to be torn down, so before they tore it down the owners turned it over to SLC artists who decorated every last inch of the place. It was awesome - check out my pictures http://www.flickr.com/photos/8550880@N06/

This is the last week of school - last day is Thursday. We've already got lots of big plans.

I haven't blogged for quite a while. Nothing too exciting going on, we are counting down the days until school gets out - 30 and counting!

I'm preparing to remodel our bathroom which will entail me making some handmade tiles so I have been working on that off and on. Justin has been working regularly on the weekends as a wedding photographer, it's been nice to see him get the business. Hopefully as his name gets around he will be able to continue this nice trend.

It's been yucky hot here, almost to 90 degrees this weekend. Mo has chewed many of our sprinklers so I have a big job ahead to get those fixed so we can start watering all the flower beds.

We celebrated Grandpa Fullmer's 70th b-day in Midway, fun was had by all. Looking forward to going to Washington to celebrate Sarah's big day in June.

Jack's been attending a speed and agility football camp and claims to be one of the 5 fastest runners even compared to the 9th graders. He's trying to keep his grades up and is doing a pretty good job. The twins are doing great!

Happy Easter!

We had a fun time this Easter. Ian and Grace got scooters and various candy and Jackson got some cash for an XBOX memory card. He recently sold all his old playing equipment and purchased an XBOX 360. We had a lovely day and then Grandma and Grandpa Fullmer, and Aunt Arikka came over for dinner and a birthday celebration.

Grandma and Grandpa Tedrow are moving soon, can't wait to see their new digs, hope you guys feel better soon.

I wanted to write a more detailed account of our trip while it is still fresh in my mind. So, here it is:

We arrived Wednesday afternoon, rented a car and drove to Waimanalo Beach and found the house. We were taken aback at first because there were swimsuits having over the banister so we weren't sure we had the right place. Turns out that it is a split level house and the owner lives in the bottom 1/2 of the house and rents out the top. The outside of the house was average with a lawn with fencing and lots of scraggly palm trees. The inside was older but had been repainted and decorated nicely. It had two bedrooms, 1 bath, kitchen, dining room and living room with an attached, covered patio.

We dumped our stuff and took off down to the beach. Beach access was between two houses with no facilities which made it nice because only the locals use that portion of the beach. It was about one block from the house. The only unsettling thing about our stay was that everywhere you went there were signs saying, don't leave any valuables in your car, theft is rampant. Fortunately, we didn't have any problems with break-ins.

Waimanalo Beach is a crescent shaped beach backed by a forest of trees. It's on the windward side of the island so we were worried that it would be too cold and windy, but it wasn't. The wind was perfect for cooling you down, temperatures were in the mid 70's to low 80's.

Thursday we spent the morning at Waimanalo, I was playing in the waves and my sunglasses were knocked off my head. I figured they were long lost and didn't even try to find them. A couple of hours later Justin managed to rescue them for me. Funny thing is that the last time we were in Hawaii with Jackson we were canoeing and I dropped my sunglasses off the boat - Justin was able to dive down and rescue them for me. He seems to have a knack for finding sunglasses. In the afternoon we drove around the island seeing Hanauma Bay, Sandy Beach, and stopped at a number of whale lookouts. We did see several whales in the far distance, but they were below the surface so all we could make out were their spouts. Finally we ended up in Waikiki and shopped around at the various malls and shopping centers.

Friday we got up early to get into the Hanauma Bay beach - it's a wildlife preserve that was used as the summer vacation spot for the past royalty of Hawaii. It has amazing snorkeling. Ian and Grace couldn't quite get the hang of the snorkeling but we found that you could actually see many of the fish right from the shore it was such clear water and the coral came right up to the beach. They made us watch a short video which explained that the bay was actually the rim of an ancient volcano, over time the outer edge was flooded thus creating the amazing spot. Jackson and Justin were able to explore more and Jackson saw a turtle along with all the huge, colorful fish.

Saturday we went to our beach again where Jackson mastered the art of kayaking and then we went back to Waikiki to visit the International Marketplace. Unfortunately it was a very busy place and I was trying to navigate and drive and rear-ended a car. I felt so awful, luckily I barely tapped them and didn't do any damage. The lady I hit was so sweet, it just made me feel worse! Justin and I had walked this area when were were in Waikiki before and knew the kids would like it. We came home and stopped at a little outdoor food stand, I had the Kailua Pig which was delicious. Later that night we barbecued stakes on the grill on the patio. The kids discovered that there were lizards living all over the yard and spent some time trying to catch them.

Sunday we went to the beach and then home to check out. We then drove to Pearl Harbor where we watched a video, toured the USS Bowfin submarine and then visited the USS Arizona memorial. Sadly, my sunglasses dropped from my head and down into the bowels of the sub. I guess I just wasn't meant to keep them afterall. It was a beautiful day and we didn't have to wait in any lines. We then went to Waikiki and found a really fun restaurant to eat in in the Waikiki Prince Hotel. It was called the Oceanarium and it had a 3 floor aquarium. We were all tired so we had fun sipping fancy drinks in pineapples, trying all the sea food and deserts at the buffet. After dinner we waddled down to the beach to watch some Hawaiian dancers in the twilight perform traditional hula dances. The gas torches were lit all along the beach and it was beautiful.

Over all it was a lovely trip that we will all remember fondly!

Sunday we once again went to our beach

Our last dinner - we ate at the Oceanarium, a restaraunt with a 3 story aquarium. They had a dinner buffet and Gracie tried octopus, Jackson tried oyster and Ian had jello.

Waimanalo Beach
We got back this afternoon from Hawaii. It was amazing! We stayed at a cute little house in a residential neighborhood about 1 block from the beach. The beach was huge, amazing, and practically empty.

We had a wonderful time, we visited many beaches, snorkeled at a wildlife park, visited Waikiki, and Pearl Harbor. We loved it, it was a wonderful vacation.

Good to be back and sleep in our own beds.

Well, we are counting down until we go to Hawaii on 2/28 - two weeks from tomorrow. We are all excited, although forecasts predict rain so I am a little worried about that. But, I figure we'll just make the best of it and if it rains, hopefully it will still be warm and we can still get out and do stuff.

Temperatures here have warmed up and it just reminds me of all the yard work coming in the spring which is fast approaching. Only about 3 months of school left, I can't believe how fast it goes.

I heard an LDS author speak - Stephenie Meyer - last weekend. It was awesome, her book Twilight, and New Moon are two books I really enjoyed. Awesome, intense, vampire love. Remember she is a mormon so even though it sounds naughty, it is a clean read. I'm hoping it gets less clean in the finale :-)

Arikka, Grandma and Grace, three generations of Fullmers :-)
We went ice skating up in Midway by Grandma and Grandpa's house.
Ian slipped on the ice at school during recess and bonked his head - the result... A HUGE BLACK EYE!

He had the same thing last year when he hit his eye on the corner of his bed.

I guess it's an annual tradition. He hates it when people harass him about it, but it looks so cute we can't help it.
My 39th birthday celebration!

New Years Eve - Gracie got her ears pierced.

Wednesday, January 03, 2007

Well, it's January 3rd and we are all back to school and work. Christmas was really fun with Grandma and Grandpa. They were delayed a bit with the snow storm, but they made it in time and we all had a lot of fun.

New Years was great at the Fullmers and enjoyed their company a lot. Unfortunately we didn't get to go skating as Jackson wasn't feeling well. Hopefully in a week or two.

I got a new camera for Christmas so hopefully I will be downloading and adding some soon.
