Are you a Librarian?

This question comes up occasionally. Usually it's a male patron with a concerned look on his face. This always throws me into a quandary. On the one hand, my job title is Adult Reference Librarian, but, I do not have an MLS degree. So, the answer is yes, and no. After a struggle I usually say yes, feeling rather guilty about the lack of degree.

I don't know why I struggle with this moral dilemma because the next questions is ALWAYS something inane like "Well, what are your hours then?"
